Stretchers and Frames
Most canvas paintings and paintings on tin flashing include my woodworking skills. I make many of the stretchers and frames. The frames are floater frames. When constructed from pine the insides are painted. The exterior is stained with a home made stain made from steel wool and vinegar chemistry which brings out the tannins in the wood. Finally the frames are sealed with a matte lacquer finish.
